May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be always with you!
This is going to be a short version of my mid-weekmessage, since it is the day before Christmas Eve! I just have a couple of announcements to pass along to you today.
The Live Nativity is happening this evening at Westfield in the parking lot - you are invited to stop by any time from 5-9pm. Please park across the street, wear your mask, and walk through the nativity counter-clockwise. A huge thank-you to Gaby and Tatum for putting this together!
Gaby and Tatum also prepared a physically distanced Christmas pageant - families came in to the church one at a time to record their parts, which were then edited together. Despite the challenges, this may be one of our best pageants ever! It will be available for viewing only until Boxing Day, then the video will be removed from YouTube. You can watch it by clicking here.
Thank you to everyone who signed up for our Christmas Eve services - please try to arrive at the church ahead of the start time for the service, since the usual Covid screening protocols are still in place. The pews will be marked with your names - you may not be sitting in the "pew you always sit it" (that wasn't possible giving our seating limitations), so please try to be understanding with our greeters.
If you plan on joining us on Facebook Live tomorrow evening, the livestream will start a couple of minutes before 8pm on the Two Rivers Pastoral Charge Page. It is a communion service, so you are invited to have your bread/cracker and juice/water/tea etc ready so that you can join us as we share the bread and the cup. https://www.facebook.com/tworiverspastoralcharge
Christmas Morning, our service will be at Westfield at 10am (this service will not be livestreamed) - you are welcome to attend, no matter which church you normally worship at! As is our Christmas Day tradition, any offering collected on Christmas Day will go to the Benevolent Fund.
Sunday December 27 - our services will be at 9:15 at Long Reach, 11:15 at Westfield, and 11:15 on Facebook Live.
Office Hours - I will not be keeping my regularly scheduled office hours next week (though I am always available by phone or e-mail). Office hours will resume in January!
And I think that's it for announcements this week! I look forward to seeing you tomorrow, either in-person at one of our services, or online in our virtual gathering.
Blessings to you and yours, today and always,
Kate.

Jesus replied, "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your being, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: "You must love your neighbour as you love yourself."
(Matthew 22:36-39)
